Frequently Asked Questions

Do you offer different tour routes?

Yes I do. But all tours, except previously arranged private tours, will keep us in the most historic areas of downtown Charleston.
Interested in a private tour for friends and/or family? Contact me and we’ll discuss what your group’s interests are; i.e. Historic downtown homes and gardens, Historic churches and grave yards, Plantation Tours, etc. and I will design a few different options and give you a quote on the cost.

Which is your most popular tour route?

The most popular would be the route described on the tour page.  From time to time, we may walk along exploring different streets and alleys than listed on the Tour Page with each street and alley offering its own special beauty and interesting stories.

How do I purchase tickets?

How can I reserve tickets in advance?

Can I get a customized tour for elderly adults?

Yes. I will be glad to arrange a customized tour for you and your friends. Contact us to discuss details.

Where can we park?

There are many municipal parking garages throughout the city. In fact one is just behind the Hibernian Hall with access off Meeting or Queen St.

What is the cancellation policy?

Reservations are cancellable up to 48 hours of your tour with a full refund.  Severe rain or thunderstorms, which happen but are rare in the mornings, will dictate a full refund, or you may reschedule for the next tour or another time convenient.

For the convenience of our tour group, no smoking or pets please.

Is your tour handicapped accessible or wheelchair friendly?

Unfortunately most of our sidewalks and some of our streets and alleys are not handicapped or wheelchair friendly, sorry.

Can I bring my toddler in a stroller?

Tours last two hours, so for the convenience and memorable experience for the others in the group, sorry, but toddlers are not allowed.
